Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival (D )
Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, the beautiful capital of Cambodia, you will receive the warmest welcome from our tour guide. After checking into your hotel, the time is yours to relax and enjoy the refreshing atmosphere of the city before enjoying a tasty welcome dinner in one of the best restaurants in Phnom Penh. Day 2: Phnom Penh city tour (B, L)
Today, we will take you to the captivating city of Phnom Penh to learn about the country’s signature Khmer architecture. Our first stop will be the National Museum. Designed by a French archaeologist, the place houses an impressive collection of numerous statues, sculptures, bas-reliefs, and so on. This is the perfect place to learn about Cambodian history and art. We then head to the Royal Palace, an iconic historical site in Phnom Penh. With a unique Cambodian style and ornate structure, the buildings inside the palace are adorned with diamonds, jewels, gold, and silver. It is one of the few places in Cambodia where you can still get a taste of the brilliance and richness of the Khmer civilization as you stroll along the palace grounds and find expensively adorned temples, libraries, and galleries. Day 3: Phnom Penh to Battambang – A day with local people (B, L)
After breakfast, we will head to Battambang to experience the daily life of local people and learn how to make some of the traditional products firsthand. A boat trip along the poetic river will take us to Battambang province. Once arrived, we will spend the whole afternoon socializing with locals and witnessing their brilliant craftsmanship. After that, head to the bamboo train to enjoy some fresh air and the cool breeze of the Cambodian countryside before having dinner at Smoking Pot Restaurant, a well-known local restaurant. Overnight in Battambang.
 
Day 4: Explore the Angkor National Museum in Siem Reap (B, L)
Today, we continue our Cambodia vacation amid the cooling water. We move to Siem Reap on a boat trip on the poetic Stung Sangker River and Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. We arrive at Siem Reap in the afternoon and are free to relax and explore before we take you to the Angkor National Museum where you get to look at the ancient artifacts and learn about the richness of Cambodian culture. In the evening, enjoy a French meal with a touch of Asian style at Abacus Restaurant in a peaceful garden setting. Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 5: Siem Reap cooking class – Temple tour (B, L)
After breakfast, we attend a half-day cooking course to learn how to cook Cambodian dishes. You will have the chance to socialize with locals and get a taste of Cambodian ways of life for the whole morning. First, you are taken to the local market to buy the necessary ingredients. Then, under the dedicated guidance of a trained chef, try to make your best Cambodian dishes. After learning how to cook in a Cambodian way, we spend the rest of the day discovering the spectacular temples of Siem Reap such as Ta Prohm, Bayon, Banteay Kdei, and Srah Srang temple. Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 6: Siem Reap-Kampong Phluck floating village (B, L)
Today we visit the floating village of Kampong Phluck to get a first-hand look at the daily life of local fishermen. Similar to other floating villages in Southeast Asia, Kampong Phluck has floating houses on stilts, surrounded by flooded forests, and has some rice paddies scattered here and there. You can visit a local house and learn about their daily life, and try to become a fisherman with fish rods and baits if you wish.
In the afternoon, we take you to the most famous attraction in Cambodia – the Angkor Wat – a temple complex with unique temple-mountain architecture. The panoramic view of the sunset over Angkor Wat is a sight to marvel at and also offers great photo opportunities. Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 7: Siem Reap Departure (B)
The last day of your Cambodia vacation is at your leisure. You can do some more sightseeing or shopping in Siem Reap’s colorful markets with the memory of the last 6 days fresh in your mind before we transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
