Cambodia Cycling in Pepper Route tour. Cambodia is known for its impressive ruins of Angkor, yet that’s not all Cambodia has to offer. Peaceful beaches, dense jungles in the mountains, and an unpretentious rural way of life guarantee an exotic Southeast Asian experience. On this trip we will cycle away from the hustle-and bustle of Phnom Penh, to find peace and harmony in the south of Cambodia. Cycle through small countryside villages, and visit ancient Khmer temples along the way before arriving at Cambodian’s coastal city of Kep. This town was once a famous holiday spot for French colonialists. We continue to explore the laid-back atmosphere of riverside Kampot and discover why black pepper from the region was a prized specialty crop in Fench restaurants during the 19th Century as we taste and smell its unique flavor.

Day 1 : Phnom Penh – Takeo ( L, D )
Pick you up from the hotel in Phnom Penh we’ll stop for a somber visit to the Killing Fields before we drive on to Wat Preash That, and then start our ride on quiet country roads to Takeo.

Day 2: Takeo – Kep ( B, L , D )
We will cycle down to the coastline of Cambodia. Visit the black pepper plantation, a famous crop from the region, before arriving at Kep, Cambodia’s prestigious beach resort of the 1960s that is reawakening to its former glory.

Day 3: Kep – Kampot ( B, L , D )
We cycle from the hotel to visit a cave temple and then ride on to the Steung Keo River. We will board a boat and travel downstream to the town of Kampot. Stay overnight at a traditional wooden lodge by the river.

Day 4 : Kampot – Phnom Penh ( B , L )
As the road up to the Bokor Hill Station is very demanding, we will drive up to Black Palace and then start our ride where the road is less steep. Visit the remains of the casino and church then have lunch by an impressive waterfall. Then transfer back to Phnom Penh.
