Put on your hiking shoes and get ready for this immersive journey that gets away from the bright lights of Hanoi and under the skin of Vietnam's bucolic countryside. In between trekking and cycling past lush landscapes, stop in at local villages and learn about traditional life with memorable homestay experiences. It’s not all mountains and trails either, with an opportunity to kayak across the majestic waters of Lan Ha Bay and spend a night in a waterside resort. Prepare to be led off the beaten track.

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel in central for check-in good 3 stars hotel ( If you want to upgrade to a better hotel please contact us )

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour ( B, L )

Morning head out and discover Hanoi. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, Ho Chi Minh complex, Van Mieu temple and visit the Museum of Ethnology and find out more about the homes and lives of Vietnam’s ethnic communities.

Day 3: Hanoi - Hiking in Sapa ( B, L )

After breakfast climb board a private minibus to Sapa, a town in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains of northwest Vietnam. This journey will take approximately 5 hours. From the market in the centre of Sapa, venture out on a short trek (approximately 2.5 hours) through the surrounding valleys to visit a village called Cat Cat. This is home to the Hmong people, who emigrated from China 300 years ago. In the evening, settle into your hotel in Sapa for the night. Accommodation: Hotel

Day 4: Sapa - Hiking in Lao Chai - Ta Van villages ( B, L, D )

Savour the dramatic landscapes and panoramic views of rural Vietnam on a trek from Lao Chai to Ta Van. You'll pass by terraced farms ripe with corn and rice, over babbling brooks and through bucolic villages. Stop for a picnic lunch before heading on to our homestay with a local family in the evening. The total trek today is around 10 kilometres (6.2 miles). Accommodation: Homestay

Day 5 : Hiking in Su Pan - Sapa ( B , L )

This morning trek to Su Pan before taking some time to rest your feet on a bus ride back to Sapa. In the afternoon the group returns to Hanoi (approximately 5 hours). Maybe get a bird's eye view of the city from a rooftop bar and unwind with an iced coffee. Accommodation: Hotel

Day 6: Hanoi – Hoa Binh – Mai Chau  
7:30 AM pick up at your hotel, check out and drive to Mai Chau through Hoa Binh province. Starting pedal from Luong Son to V- resort and Bai Chao village and continue cycling to Thong Khe Pass. Have lunch on the way then ride on a single track through Thai minority villages. Ride past terraced fields and beautiful valleys. Overnight in a stilt-house of a Thai-tribe village.

Day 7 : Mai Chau – Cuc Phuong national park ( Ninh Binh) 
Breakfast before Uphill to the Thong Ke pass and pedal through the rich farming land of the Red River Delta to Cuc Phuong National Park. On our journey, there are some opportunities to see ethnic minority people, all friendly and welcoming. Overnight in Cuc Phuong Guesthouse.

Day 8 : Cuc Phuong park – Dinh Le Temple  – Ninh Binh 
Following breakfast, at 8:00 Am start cycling from the gate of Cuc Phuong Park to recharge your energy for 19km cycling to the centre of the park. make a couple of stops along the way to visit the Cave of Ancient Man. We continue to cycle to Dinh Le temple and stop for lunch before we reach Hoa Lu. We then start cycling to visit the two remaining temples of the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu. (12km), just passing scenes of local village life and rice paddies. We continue with a 1-hour cycle to Tam Coc. O / N in Tam Coc Villiage.

Day 9 : Tam Coc Cave – Keo pagoda – Thai Binh 
Breakfast and 7:30 we embark on a boat trip in Tam Coc passing through the picturesque landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations with magnificent caves for 2 hours. Transfer by van to Tan De Bridge and turn right and start cycling along the banks of the East Delta of the Red River to the most beautiful Keo pagoda complex from the 11th century. After visiting we continue cycling to Thai Binh City and another dyke of the Tra Ly river for cycling 15 km off-road to Thai Hong Village ( Viet people ) for homestay. Dinner with Viet family.

Day 10 : Thai Binh – Hai Phong – Cat Ba Island
Breakfast and last day pedal through the rich farming land of the Red River Delta to Vinh Bao village, stop to visit Diem Dien fishing market and cycling through the local villages to Hai Phong and then transfer by van and take the local ferry to Cat Ba island for check-in hotel near-by the beach. Evening free for shopping at the night market and swimming, explore dinner on your own.

Day 11: Kayaking around Cat Ba Island ( B, L )

Explore the waters and limestone karsts of Lan Ha Bay on a full-day boat trip. Get up close and personal kayaking beside the tree-clad outcrops, with lunch on board also included. Halong Bay's World Heritage designation was extended to the Cat Ba Archipelago thanks to its similar aesthetic value, and the scenes of turquoise water and junk boats are quintessential of Vietnam. No one will judge you for taking a selfie here. Spend a second night on Cat Ba, with the evening free to visit the local restaurants and bars.

Day 12: Cat Ba Island - Halong - Hanoi ( B, L )

Breakfast and transfer to Gia Luan ferry to take 1,5 hours to Halong bay, along the way you can see beautiful views of Halong bay. Reach Tuan Chau island and take a bus back to Hanoi.

Day 13: Hanoi - Departure ( B )

Breakfast and transfer to airport for departure. End The Tour.
